Are you using the latest 4.4.9? Your comment above just says "...affecting me on 4.4..." but not specific aabout which release in the 4.4.x releases (I won't assume you mean 4.4.9).
I think 4.4.x is now out of support - no new feature requests or bug fixes, just critical security updates only until Oct 2025.
